Country Crock Plant Butter

I went to the supermarket yesterday to purchase my favorite plant butter made with olive oil and there was only one left on the shelf.

No one had touched any of the Country Crock Butter And original Country Crock Vegetable Spread, only the Non Dairy Plant Butter.

I had got to the store just in time. Last week the shelf was full of the plant butter when I picked up a tub.

Everybody is into Plant-Based food now I remember many years ago when it wasn’t such a widespread interest among certain folk.

I didn’t have to worry about going short on my favorite vegan foods.

Well that’s how it goes. When there’s something good or appealing to the taste buds everybody wants to jump on it.

Hazardous Workplace

About a week or two ago I was asked by one of my employer’s, because I do both retail and healthcare work, if I’d cover a three day fill in shift.

So I agreed to work the temporary assignment and I was given a little prior information and detail into the case.

When I arrived to my client’s residence I inhaled the strong odor of urine as soon as I walked through the door.

The mother of my client greeted me, lead me toward her son’s bedroom, then introduced me to him.

On the way through the home, I also inhaled a nasty odor reeking from the woman who was up in age.

The man was in his fifties and paralyzed on one side of his body due to a stroke. He was also overweight and wore a diaper.

I told him the diaper was too small as the fasten wasn’t reachable to cross over to the other side.

The man had gotten slightly offended by my words and uttered out to me, “I hate when people come and tell me the diaper is too small. These diapers are not too small I’ve been wearing this size diaper for years”.

I hadn’t meant any harm but the diaper was a bit too small to give him adequate protection to urinate and to move his bowels within.

In all honesty, I don’t know if manufacturers actually designed disposable diapers large enough to accommodate someone of his measurements.

Anyhow, we got past the disagreement, and I helped him out of bed with his diaper that didn’t properly fit, and all.

I helped him dress, put his leg brace on, I helped him balance himself, then I motioned him into his wheelchair and wheeled him into the porch to take his medication.

His mother was unable to push his wheelchair around the house because of his heavy weight. He needed someone to attend to him day and night. I was only there for the day shift he already had someone scheduled to come later on within the evening.

I’m between one hundred and thirty-five pounds to one hundred and forty yet I was able to lift him by the back of his pants to give him a jolt and I was able to push his chair.

It was all about technique to me, though, the man was indeed quite a load to bear, especially carrying the dead weight on one side of the body.

A physician came later that morning as a routine visit. This is how I found out exactly how much my client weighed. The doctor acknowledged the man was five hundred and thirty-five pounds, also addressing that he was morbidly obese, and since he was unable to proficiently stand or walk there was no way for him to exercise sufficiently.

He would just have to sit and lay and accumulate more pounds and additional health problems.

My mother didn’t understand how in the hell I helped to lift and push my client’s five hundred pound ass around his residence and tolerate the foul smells in which I professionally did.

The mother and the son were both nice and welcoming toward me and the man had apologized for his earlier attitude. The rest of the time that I had spent there had turned out very well, and the family was looking forward to my return.

However, I never made it back there. It just wasn’t meant to be. I had to call out for the other two days I was supposed to show up. My spirit just wouldn’t allow for me to go back under those hazardous conditions.

I also couldn’t take the chance of my client getting nervous due to the man’s confidence issues that he had revealed to me.

What if an accident occurred and he happened to have fallen on me? Then I may have been the one in need of attention and medical care.

Therapy Dogs

When I worked at one of the assisted living facilities I often occupied there were therapy dogs often brought in to offer emotional support, mental stimulation, and companionship toward the elderly.

In my opinion, therapy animals are lovely resources for any age group to pleasantly and significantly benefit from.

For those who are receptive to canines therapy dogs are a great enhancement to the lives of people and within the lifting up of the spirits to those in need of a humane connection.

It is particularly very assistive within the elderly environment to receive the therapeutic attributes in which a loving, friendly, affectionate, and comforting trained dog can provide to them.

The dogs themselves deserve the proper care and respect in return for all they do and the sacrifice they undertake in order to cater to our charitable (human) causes.

Canines have feelings and needs too and sometimes people don’t take into account how they may get overwhelmed and taken advantage of within their own doghood life periods.

Dogs are living beings also and shouldn’t constantly have their precious moments stolen away.

They need our therapeutic modes of solicitous and considerate treatment as well.

Bad Bodily Odors

One doesn’t have to work in the medical field or as a caregiver to come across some of the worst odors.

We often smell a lot of funk through out everyday life depending where we’re at and who we are around.

It’s just those of us who’ve held jobs within a healthcare setting tend to and are more prone to encounter bad hygiene at an enormous rate as our workplaces cater primarily to people and wellness issues.

An array of individuals commonly walk through the doors and occupy residence at hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities.

Us people who undertake caregiver roles deal with people constantly all day long on a day to day basis with all type of conditions and ailments and are bound to definitely come into contact with notorious odor.

I remember how once, before I ever thought about working in the medical/ healthcare field, my mother and I were inside the emergency room of a hospital when this bum came in drooling from the mouth with a tall can of beer.

After he’d sat and been there for a while, a female medical technician who’d entered the lobby of the place from time to time finally went to respond to him.

Once she fully observed him and paid more attention to him she noticed his behavior, appearance, and the can of beer he had brought in with him.

The medical technician turned to look at my mother and I and said “Why didn’t you tell me he had a can of beer? She then said aloud, “Oh great, now I’m going to have to deal with his stinking feet”.

I internally sympathized with her because she seemed like a decent person of substance.

With all of this lady’s experience and familiarity within her field of work she knew just by looking at the man what she was in for by having to attend to him that evening.

Some people’s feet smell so bad that it’s impossible to get the odor out of fabrics.

There was a guy who came to my house once and he had his bare feet resting against the carpet of the room.

The odor had gotten trapped into the carpet and no matter how much I vacuumed the odor wouldn’t leave or fade away I even tried sprinkling baking soda to kill the smell and that was useless.

I ended up having to eventually pull up the carpet to throw it away.

I’ve also been in a house with a guy who’s odor was so bad the funk had gotten embedded within the mattress and he was well aware of the problem as he told me he had tried everything from ammonia to drive away the smell yet it was still set in.

These occurrences are nothing new.

I remember a neighbor of mine had to throw away her upholstered chair on account of another female neighbor who had smelled it up so bad.

A relative of mine had to throw away an article of clothing she had loaned to one of her great-nieces because her underarms had stunk up the material and ruined the chance of her ever wearing the item again.

There are so many experiences I could share too many to write about, stories in which would make one holler, “Woo!”

Natural Sources Of Vitamin C

Are you getting enough of that Vitamin C?

If anyone, in general, is a smoker they definitely need some as smoking depletes the body of this wonderful nutrient.

I made sure relatives of mine who smoked had gotten their continuous adequate amounts of vitamin C.

Vitamin C is very good for circulation, blood vessels, wound healing (silica is also excellent for tissue repair), and a healthy immune system. I know, I’ve been taking vitamin C for years, within supplement form as well as in fruit and vegetable form.

Vitamin C is also good for teeth and bone health (silica is also excellent for the bones too) as well as other vital bodily functions.

Some of my favorite juices and foods contain and are naturally high in vitamin C.

I use to buy and eat fresh pineapples constantly in my younger days I still buy and drink pineapple juice in the current, along with the sour temptations of lemons and lemonade.

I eat tomatoes and I love tomato juice as well as tomato soup.

Of course, oranges are full of natural vitamin C and I eat plenty of those as well.

Cantaloupe and watermelon are also good sources of vitamin C.

And, don’t forget apples and apple juice which have their fair share of naturally incorporated vitamin C.

Appetizers

It’s exciting to have more options to choose from and that cater to our lifestyle, health, and special diets, nowadays, whether we are vegan/vegetarian/pollo pescetarian or just plain gluten free, and so on.

I love plant milk, preferably soy and cashew, the vanilla flavors suit me best. I don’t like almond milk at all.

I also love cashew cheese and olive oil crafted buttery spreads.

I tend to come up with ideas and tasty plans to create then to put into effort within my foods.

I’m just glad I can experiment with a variety of plant sources without sacrificing great flavor.

So go and get that plant-based milk, cheese, and butter if it’s befitting to a preference or way of living.

Nature’s Path Cereal

The early part of last year I had tried Nature’s Path cereals for the very first time and I was not disappointed.

I tried the Sunrise Crunchy Maple and I loved the taste. I knew if I liked the maple I’d love the vanilla.

What attracted me to the product was that is was organic, vegan/vegetarian, non gmo, and made with an array of wholesome ingredients.

I’ll be buying more of these two flavor cereals within the future.

Sunrise Maple Crunch:

INGREDIENTS:

Brown rice flour*, whole grain corn meal*, cane sugar*, corn meal*, yellow corn flour*, inulin*, maple syrup*, quinoa*, natural maple flavor, flax seeds*, sea salt, buckwheat flour*, amaranth*, molasses*, tocopherols (vitamin E). *Organic. Produced in a facility that uses tree nuts, peanuts and soy.

Sunrise Crunchy Vanilla:

INGREDIENTS:

Whole grain corn meal*, brown rice flour*, cane sugar*, corn meal*, yellow corn flour*, inulin*, quinoa*, natural vanilla flavor, flax seeds*, sea salt, amaranth*, buckwheat flour*, molasses*, tocopherols (vitamin E). *Organic. Produced in a facility that uses tree nuts, peanuts and soy.

Silver Dollars

I haven’t eaten pancakes in a long while now but when I use to prepare them I made them small.

I didn’t like the average size pancakes.

After mixing up the batter I’d dip in a table spoon and scoop out about the same equivalent within measure and let the slight thickness of the mixture empty into the grease of the pan.

I’d create what my family called “silver dollar” pancakes, cute and with volume.

I wouldn’t put too much milk (plant-based milk can be used) or water into the mix just enough to provide a good and preferable consistency for my pancakes to come out nicely textured.

The pancakes always tasted better cooked in a butter (plant-based butter or margarine can be used) compared to vegetable oils.

I would eat those pancakes anytime of the day, for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Whenever my appetite called out for them.

It didn’t matter whether or not I used syrup over the pancakes they were delicious either way.

Most of the time I ate them without any topping, and I’d fix and eat multiple silver dollar crafted pancakes until I had gotten thoroughly full.

Vitamin Supplements

I highly recommend supplements that are vegan/vegetarian suitable, non gmo, without fillers, and that are labeled with legitimate seals and certifications of high quality, assuring the product consists of laboratory testing to confirm accuracy of contents as well as safety of consumption.

I was started on vitamins at a very early age.

When I got older and became extremely health conscious, I began my own independent voyage further and deeper into the benefits of supplements and their advantages.

My teenage years was spent evolving and gaining knowledge about spiritual and physical maintenance.

I consume both vitamin and herbal supplements and over my life long journey of indulging within the assistance of these fantastic tools in which consist of medicinal properties, and remedy,  I can genuinely attest to the optimal satisfaction and wellbeing these lifesavers indeed provide.

Olive Oil

Real olive oil will leave a specific recognizable tingle within the back of the throat I’ve experienced this numerous times. It is a sign of the purity and pungency of the oil.

I continuously prepare and use olive oil in a lot of my foods. I first began using olive oil during my teenage years. I had got it in the tin can it use to come in.

I don’t just buy any olive oil displayed on the shelves of the supermarket because I know for a fact all oils labeled as 100% pure olive oil are actually not legitimate.

There are many popular well known brands who claim to sell authentic olive oil yet their statements are false and have been proven so.

There are only two olive oil companies I have trusted and bought from for over a long period of time now and they are California Olive Ranch, and Lucini. I had researched them prior to purchasing their oils. They both have the harvest dates as well as expiration dates located on their glass bottles.

Of course, there are other legitimate brands out there who do sell authentic olive oils these are just the particular two I frequently buy.

I also look out for the seals and certifications such as Non Gmo, Certified Extra Virgin Olive Oil Associations, USDA and so on.

Apple Pie And Apple Sauce (Applelicious Is Apple Wholesome)

I love apples, especially the yellow ones.

I love apples that are both sweet and tart I love biting into the juicy and crisp flesh of the fruit. I don’t like apples that are kind of soft, they’ve got to be firm.

The Red Delicious and the Granny smith variety are my favorites, McIntosh are okay but those other three are my specialties.

I was never a major pie eater as I never cared much for pie the only type of pie I would eat was homemade sweet potato growing up. My mother liked pies and when she tried pumpkin pie for the first time a few years back she told me it tasted similar to sweet potato pie yet it was even better. So she is now fond of pumpkin pie.

I never tried Pumpkin pie though I do love apple pie. Apple pie is my mother’s favorite among all the other pies she’s eaten also. My mother reminisced to me how in down south Virginia our family use to make some yummy apple pies from scratch with fresh granny smith green apples.

I use to eat apple pies frequently during my twenties, I loved biting and chewing into the crust of the pie as the whole entire parts of the pastry was so delicious, and I use to drink cold milk along with eating them.

There were certain types of pie that I didn’t like and didn’t want to eat I’d just nibble on the crust because I wasn’t fond of the fruity sections prepared within the pies. Apple pie was the only pie that I could delightfully stomach down, I guess it all depends on how a pie is crafted.

Applesauce was a dessert I’ve always eaten and enjoyed I also like it blended with cinnamon spice. I had purchased the Santa Cruz brand organic applesauce a few times in the past and the product was of very good quality. Applesauce tastes really good cold and it is a really healthy light food to snack on.

My mother fed me applesauce as a child just as I’m sure a lot of our parents have, and it is loved, and a favorite, among the young and the old. It is a pleasant option for those who have to eat pureed foods and a convenient way for some to help swallow a pill down with, or to mix powdered medicine into for a tolerable intake.

Apple juice, another treasure and extension to indulge in, is a drink we constantly keep in the house as the beverage is both nutritious and healing for the body.

What would we do if we didn’t have apples to incorporate into the various forms of our diets? I don’t even want to imagine a circumstance of that nature, not the way I love to eat apples, apple pie, applesauce, and drink apple juice.

If I loss my “apples” I’d probably end up in the “nut” house. Nevertheless, nuts are nutritious too.

Potatoes

One can do so many things with potatoes.

They can be baked, fried, boiled, mashed and turned into a variety of scrumptious dishes to enjoy.

I just made some potatoes yesterday. I cut eight whole potatoes in half and placed them into a pot of water seasoned with onion, garlic, cumin, thyme, pepper, salt, oregano and parsley.

When they were done and the majority of water had boiled out of the pot I scooped them onto a plate and spread a plant-based butter made with olive oil over them and they came out fantastic. They were the texture of luscious baked potatoes, they had boiled perfectly.

My favorite of all potato dishes have and will always be French fries.

There is nothing like homemade fries cooked in sunflower oil. I peeled, cut up, and fried so many potatoes when I was younger that I knew which type of oil brought out the best taste within them above all the others.

I even fried and ate so many homemade French fries one night that my body had absorbed too much grease and my stomach felt like it was split in half. I’m so glad my mother knew exactly to give me an alka seltzer back then it had cured the problem almost immediately.

Not With My Pooch

I’m all for kissing the pooch and letting the pooch sleep in the bed.

I’m guilty of these actions as I’ve done it myself for the majority of my life and I loved every bit of those pleasant, enjoyable moments.

However, taking a bath with the pooch, and letting the pooch drink and eat out of the same cup and plate as one is going a little too far, yet I’ve seen people do it and it suits them just fine.

As much as I loved the pooches that I had I do have limitations and never would share my bathwater with them while I was in it, or share the cup and plate in which I have to drink and eat off of with them. I don’t even do those things with other human beings.

Time In The Tub

A shower, of course, is cleaner than taking a bath, but both a bath and a shower is very therapeutic for the mind and the body.

Some people sit in the tub to soak for a bit then stand up to wash and rinse off in the shower.

With a bath one can lay back and relax and soothe effortlessly.

To enhance and enliven the bath it’s delighting to add bubbles for a sparkling foamy appeal, and feel.

The only down side to indulging within the penetrating waters of a lovely hot bath is that one has to get out of the tub before the dirt retracts back on them.

This is why some run the shower afterwards in order to assure a total clean.

However, a bubble bath would indeed prevent that problem by the soapy waters enveloping and dissolving the dirt within the tub while also stopping a ring of dirt from circling around the bathtub once the water is completely drained out.

I use to take a lot of bubble baths when I was much younger it made having a bath more enticing and fun.

Dole Organic Bananas

I went and did a little grocery shopping this past week and purchased two bags of bananas by Dole and they were organic.

The bananas tasted so good and fresh. They were a little bit more expensive than the non organic bananas. I was aware Dole sold organic bananas yet I had never came across them within any of my local grocery stores.

As now the circumstance has changed and the bananas are available at one of my particular neighborhood supermarkets I’ll continue to buy and eat them.

Cheesy Delight (Cheesylicious!)

As a youngster, during my very early years, I grew up eating cheese loving and enjoying the delicious meals which are made with the ingredient.

Some of my favorites were macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches, pizza, parmesan cheese sprinkled over my spaghetti, baked ziti, lasagna and cheesecake.

Once I came to know and was aware of how cheese was actually processed it was a complete turnoff  to me aside from becoming a vegan/vegetarian at the age of fourteen.

For those vegetarians who do eat dairy cheese they are able to, of course, purchase the brands that are made with vegetable rennet. I know Cabot, Boar’s Head, and Land O’ Lakes wasn’t using animal rennet (the stomach lining of calves and goats) I had phoned up these companies years ago inquiring about the matter.

Nevertheless, I only eat non dairy plant based cheese.

I love cashew mozzarella style vegan cheese.

We can still delight within our favorite dishes if we choose or prefer not to eat old fashion traditionally manufactured cheeses.

Homemade Popsicles

When I was about fifteen or sixteen a family associate and I was at her home and she came up with the idea to make some ices on a stick.

So we made kool aid and filled up the ice trays with the flavored juice mix we had fixed and placed popsicle sticks within the center of each ice cube as they began to freeze to a icy texture.

When the Ice cubes froze solid we released them from the tray and delightfully sucked all the juiciness out as we held them by their sticks.

It was so cute and the dessert came out pretty good.

These days I have advanced, of course, only to use natural pure fruit juice, and the proper equipment for a richer, fuller, and more flavorful delicious experience to enjoy.

Cigarettes

I’ve never smoked. I never had the desire to, and I don’t ever plan to.

Everyone within the home I grew up in smoked.

It is a nasty habit and one in which is quite addictive to the point of some individuals lighting and trying to get a drag from the filter of a cigarette butt.

The act of puffing on a stem of tobacco loaded with harmful additives made no sense to me.

The smoke from cigarettes is annoying to me as it goes up my nostrils to burn and to interrupt my breaths of clean, fresh air. It’s bad enough we have to inhale the pollutants and toxins within the outdoor air I didn’t need to inhale the poison in my home too.

These chemicals such as nicotine and the like sneak and get inside our bodies without us even using or indulging in the substance.

My doctor found a touch of nicotine in my urine once and she told me it was from second hand smoke. I was so disgusted.

When I smell people smoking drugs such as marijuana or cess I get sick to my stomach and sometimes have to take a poop as my body is stimulated to release out the toxins I had caught a whiff from.

I’m not knocking anyone who smokes I just don’t understand the point within doing so.

Interracial Couples/Relationships

If some people date and get married outside of their race who cares?

How does it affect the lives of others except for those who are negative and don’t know how to unjustifiably stay out of other peoples business.

I’d be more concerned about an undesirable mating with someone of substance, regardless of whatever race they are from because trash and degenerate people come within all colors, ethnicities, and nationalities, as this is a significant factor to mess up the bloodline.

Those are the type and kinds of people who need to stick with their own kind.

It shouldn’t be about color or race, but about one’s level and mentality, one’s character and dignity.

If specific people are able to relate to one another, love and respect one another, they have every right to peacefully join together with each other, whether in friendship or within companionship.

In reality, there will always be individuals who stubbornly hold their prejudices and cause friction on account of their hatred or intolerance yet it shouldn’t hinder anyone from being with who they want, being who they are, and living how they want to live.

Same Sex Couples

We almost cannot say gay, lesbian, or homosexual, or anything anymore because so many people are taking offense to certain labels and remarks whereas many others of us don’t mean any harm.

People are getting into trouble for just voicing their opinions and truths and some of this nonsense has gone too far.

This “me too” movement and the recognition of intolerance for discrimination against all category of people is indeed great, however, some people need to cool down and at the same time don’t start to take away our freedom of speech within the long run.

People are scared to speak on certain things due to the fact they could lose everything depending on what position and what area of employment and life they’re situated in.

Nevertheless, I’ll continue to speak my mind.

I don’t care who has sexual relations with who. Whether it is two men together, two women together, a man and a woman together, or people who are bisexual and go both ways.

I could care less as their lifestyle and the nature in which some of them were born has absolutely nothing to do with me or my life.

I’ve never had any personal negative feelings towards them. They are regular people just like everyone else who have their own preferences. I like individuals who are different and this is a versatile world.

I’m asexual, and proud to be, and one should be proud of who they are, and able to live in peace. I judge people by their character not by their ethnicity or sexual orientation.

Why people are hostile toward gays, lesbians, and transgender is beyond me. What they do and how they live their life should not matter to anyone if they are not bothering anyone and are not a danger to society. And, anyone can be a danger to society regardless of their sexuality.

People going around hating, assaulting, and killing other people simply because they are not heterosexual is ridiculous.

Mouth-Watering Watermelon

Oh, the melon family. I like the honeydew and the cantaloupe, however, nothing compares to the watermelon, to me.

Watermelon is such an appropriate summer fruit, but all fruit is appropriate for the summer, and all year around too, when certain one’s are within their seasons.

I haven’t had any watermelon since earlier in the spring and it was so icy cold, tasty, and ripe.

Watermelon is also nutritious and is a natural diuretic.

I remember when my family use to buy whole fresh quality watermelons straight from the trucks in travel from down south. They use to be the best. Nowadays, anything could be low-grade off those particular trucks.

I never get tired of eating good watermelon I’m going to get me some real soon.

The local grocery where I go keeps the watermelon stacked on ice and I bring the melon home to store in the refrigerator to get further chilled to my likeness.

I usually slice the large fruit in half and eat it with a spoon, it’s less messy to eat it that way, and it is also a convenient approach or method.

Oh, I can’t wait to get my hands on some great mouth-watering watermelon!

So Chocolate

My mother made some chocolate cupcakes a few days ago with cake mix. The aroma smelled so good as the dessert baked.

I don’t eat chocolate. The doctor told me to stay away from chocolate and coca cola when I was a young child. I use to get unbearable stomach aches and my physician had determined the reason was from my consumption of eating the chocolate and drinking the coca cola.

I was allowed to drink 7up and Sprite and other light colored sodas but no Dr. Pepper or Rootbeer. I never liked Dr. Pepper and Rootbeer anyway.

A paramedic once asked me if I had any allergens and I told him about what the doctor had diagnosed many years ago before and the medical technician told me that it was probably due to the caffeine in the chocolate and dark sodas.

Chocolate was my favorite flavor when I was a kid I wanted chocolate everything. Chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake, chocolate donuts, chocolate candy, especially Hershey’s kisses and candy bars.

However, I did of course, leave all of the chocolate alone. Vanilla became my favorite flavor, chiefly french vanilla.

My mother’s cupcakes reminded me of the old days. I remember when we use to bake cakes all of the time and how she would buy chocolate morsels and make homemade chocolate chip cookies from scratch.

As I was growing up I ate yellow cakes with white icing along with oatmeal, ginger, coconut, and vanilla cookies.

I haven’t been too much of a sweets eater since my teens on up into adulthood, however, I do occasionally get those natural “sweet tooth” urges, those moments when I desire to indulge in a tasty dessert, or two. I just eat health consciously, ensuring the products are made with the specific ingredients of quality and preference.

Simply Delicious

I love Lay’s potato chips I’ve eaten them ever since I was a little girl. To me, they’re one of the best and most tasteful chips out on the market.

I had a bag yesterday and I just got finished devouring a bag today.

I’ve ate the “Simply” version from the time they were first introduced as they are prepared with Non GMO oils.

Before I decided to only eat from the popcorn kernels that I pop at home, due to the fact the snack tastes so much better compared to store bought pre-packaged popcorn, I use to buy the Non Gmo project verified Smart Delight sea salt popcorn.

The item was no doubt good but nowhere near as good as my home popped popcorn.

Anything homemade tastes better and tends to be more healthier for the body, anyhow.

The Fourth Of July/Comfort For Our Canine Companions

Around 3a.m. this morning I was up with my television set tuned to a news broadcast that mentioned the 4th of July being a day in which most dogs run away from home just before switching to a commercial break.

I figured the instance probably had to do with the explosive sounds of the fireworks lit in celebration of Independence day.

When the station switched back to the news program a segment on the issue was aired going further into detail about the anxiety some of our canine companions go through during the July 4th holiday, and as I thought, of course, it pertained to the noise and electrifying sparks of those loud fireworks.

I understood completely. When I was a kid I hated the sounds firecrackers and M-80s made yet loved to see the beautiful arrangement of bursting colors that shot out into the sky with a more appealing explode.

My dog didn’t like the sounds of fireworks either but it was never an annoyance to provoke her to run away from home. She’d either run close to one of us (her family members) for comfort and protection or run under some furniture to hide as she did from the loud harsh sounds of thunder when it rained.

My dog use to hang out with us on the stoop as we’d watch people light up the streets of our block on this holiday occasion back in the day.

Candy Crush Once Again

A fun rush of Sugar Crush!

On June 14, 2019 I was at stage 71 of Candy Crush saga now I have reached all the way up to level 282 as of today.

I’ve been playing every day while I kill time.

This is my second going into the third week of indulgence and I’m doing quite good. The bombs, the fascinating explosive combination of candies, the gorgeous colorful fishies, the adorable yellow lemons and all!

The game is just so cute but annoying when I get stuck on those difficult periods of play yet I just stick it out and keep up the challenge until I eventually move forward to the next stage of delightful strategy.

Patience and determination is the ignition for mastering any enjoyable game.

Cop Flop

I stopped working at one of my jobs about a week ago as I wasn’t satisfied with the company and as one of the heads of the establishment wanted an explanation I refused to give him one as I just requested to get my last check.

The employers claimed that they were not withholding my check from me yet refused to mail it out to me or meet me downstairs of the building to give it to me. They wanted me to come upstairs and discuss how they could improve on whatever I was dissatisfied with.

I didn’t want to discuss anything I just wanted my money. I told them if they didn’t come down to give me my check that I would call the police. The company told me to go ahead so I did.

They must have thought I was bluffing. I don’t bullshit if I say I’m going to do something I’ll do it unless something comes up.

I phoned up the cops about five or six times I know the situation was not a life or death one, however, they never showed up. I initially called around 2pm and the police didn’t get back to me until going on 7pm later that same evening as they gave me a return call on my cell.

A cop had the nerve to ask me if I was at the location I had called about I told him no and how that had been hours ago. The cop apologized stating they were busy at the time and told me to call the police again the next time around.

Last Tuesday I went back to the company and the cops arrived within a timely manner and handled the situation and I received my paycheck on the spot.

I didn’t trust the establishment or environment as I worked for them a very short time. There is a possibility the company may be a front for something other than a legitimate health care setting.

Vermont Bread Company English Muffins

Of course, one can’t always judge a book by its cover though I usually have a good eye and judgement for what is of quality.

As living the life of a vegan or vegetarian at times gets quite expensive I often catch and look out for sales.

There was some Vermont Bread Company brand english muffins that are constantly priced at $5.00 for two packs at one of my local Stop and Shops.

I had never purchased or ate any of the Vermont company breads and would pass up on their items. About three weeks ago, I had a relative shop with me and convinced me to try out the English muffins due to the price of five dollars for each that were six in a pack.

I only relented because it’s hard to commonly find vegan non gmo breads unless you’re at a store which specializes in those type of products.

So she bought two packs, one whole wheat and one white, I bought two whole wheats.

Those muffins stayed inside my fridge for two weeks before I went to open them up. I was hesitant as something within me just didn’t have a desire or attraction for them. If they had have been Dave’s Killer Muffins I would have been all over them the instant I brought them home.

On the day I finally decided to give the Vermont whole wheat English muffins a go I dolled them up with some herbs and olive oil and when I put them inside the toaster oven to heat they gave off an unpleasant smell which stunk.

I was even more hesitant to eat these muffins after that. After I took two or three bites of those disgusting english muffins I threw them into the trash.

I read reviews (which, of course, is not wise to always go by) about how good the Vermont Bread Company english muffins were even though I personally doubted I’d like them from the way they had appeared. I honestly don’t know what those people were talking about maybe they were paid to post that shit.

They’re always 2 for $5 for a reason.

Sometimes one has to pay a little extra for the good stuff when it’s not running a course of a discount.

I was so happy to recently get my usual Dave’s Killer Bread organic classic english muffins that smell and taste so good I even bought my relative a pack and she loved them and agreed that they were much better than that nasty tasting Vermont shit.

Candy Crush

Sweet, Delicious, Divine, Tasty!

I’ve been playing Candy Crush for about almost a week now and as I mentioned in the first post I wrote titled Candy Crush Saga I got irritated with having to wait over an hour to regain back the five lives in which it takes to resume the game.

The instance is annoying especially when I have a good game going and want to keep moving on.

Already in such a short time that I have engaged I’ve found a way to play continuously over and over again as long as I want and until I get tired without having to upgrade or purchase any extra lives thanks to a tip I read about and that really works!

Like I said before within the last post, Candy Crush is a very cute and delightful game though I’d never unnecessarily spend or waste any money just to gain more trivial entertainment.

I just use the tip I came across to obtain more lives and not to skip any of the levels because I like and enjoy the challenge of conquering the sometimes difficult points on my own no matter how many times I have to do over until I reach to the next higher stage.

I’ve reached to level 71 so far within these few days and the game cracks me up inside with the flavorful vocal and animated gestures. It’s a great way to kill some time and enhance my strategy at fun with Candy Crush.

Dr. Stephanie V Blank, MD

Dr. Stephanie Blank, MD

My mother beat ovarian cancer years ago when I was three years old. She was carrying a malignant growth on one of her ovaries while she was pregnant with me. She had the mass that was the size of an orange successfully removed without any complications.

The doctors found a growth on one of my ovaries when I was sixteen it had been developing since I was twelve. I underwent plenty of tests, referrals, and so on.

When I turned twenty-three I was introduced to Dr. Stephanie Blank who performed an exploratory laparoscopy on me to locate the mass they’d found on ultrasounds, MRI’s, and CT scans. She told me if they went in and found the growth she’d give me a bikini cut because I was young and she wanted the procedure to be done correctly and thoroughly so I wouldn’t have to undergo anymore possible surgery within the future or be butchered up.

She was very caring, considerate, and thoughtful toward me and my situation. I was strong within myself, confident within her ability, and not at all afraid to have my operation.

I was surrounded by a team of professional women and a camera and big television screen all there and ready to aide Dr. Blank in the preparation and process and I thought to myself how lucky I was to be in such good hands. I could feel the essence.

When I awoke in the recovery room first thing I did was vomit up food from the day before even though I hadn’t ate over the time I was instructed not to prior. I had an intravenous tube still in my arm. I found out that Dr. Blank wasn’t able to find the mass so I didn’t have to be cut on after all just the small unnoticeable incision made by the exploratory laparoscopy right near my belly button.

I was absolutely left without any scars and I was given a prescription for antibiotics and Tylenol with codeine upon release from the hospital.

I had one more doctor visit with Stephanie Blank following up on the minor surgical procedure and afterwards a telephone conversation where she acknowledged to me that she had given birth to a “beautiful baby boy” as she had put it and that she was going into her own medical practice.

All of the best doctors end up leaving and going into their own and I was proud of her as she was an inspiration.

This happened back in June of 1997 at New York Presbyterian Hospital Cornell in Manhattan. Stephanie Blank’s specialty is gynecologic oncology.

Candy Crush Saga Indeed

Of course, I had heard of the game Candy Crush Saga, however, I had never played it and wasn’t at all interested in playing the game.

It wasn’t until recently this past week that I first tried it out.

In my youth, it was the arcade and atari video games Miss Pac Man which held my attention, along with centipede, and other fun shit. Years ago, it was Diner Dash. I had played once in a while on my computer as it was so cute and a entertaining way to occupy some time, and then Diner Dash 2 came out.

I even re-lived playing Miss Pac Man on my computer back then.

Now, I did actually find Candy Crush delightful yet I have to agree with senator Josh Hawley in an article I read about the tech industry luring children to snare money by having them pay for continued plays and upgrades.

I have to admit as an adult I was getting pretty pissed off when I lost my lives a few times and had to wait over twenty minutes “each” to gain each of my five lives back in order to play again which took over an hour. If I wanted to get past that, of course, I’d have to pay for several unlimited hours of playtime, and I refused to spend money only to unnecessarily add up for such a trivial purpose.

Candy Crush Saga is very cute and fun to play and it’s a challenging rush climbing up to the higher levels with more speed, but it ain’t cute and fun enough to make me want to shell out my sweet dough and let it all go to waste. No thank you!

It could actually lead to addictive behavior and gambling in some children as they’d be anxious and impatient to play Candy Crush and other so called free games then wiping out their parents pockets without first getting their permission.

Juicy Fruit

The weather has finally begun to mimic summer temperatures lately here in Queens, New York and usually when it gets hot and humid I like to eat light.

The fruit I had bought came in handy during the weeks. I picked up these big and beautiful bag of oranges from my local Stop And Shop they were worth the $7.99 that I paid as they were flawless, sweet, and juicy. I ate the oranges ice cold. I left them in the refrigerator a few days before I began to consume them.

Along with them I had purchased some Granny Smith green apples which I also let get ice cold before eating.

Everything taste so good cold especially in the heat of the environment. When I was thirsting for something other than water I drank ice cold apple juice. All soothing and healthy to the body.

Popcorn Galore!

I just got finished popping kernels in olive oil. I love popcorn and whenever I get the taste for some I prepare it myself instead of purchasing pre-packaged.

Popcorn is a healthy snack.

I’d usually buy Bob’s Red Mill white or yellow kernels. Before that I had tried Arrowhead Mills brand.

Right now, I have in my home Jolly Time white kernels.

All of them are non gmo, vegan, or organic and the products are of excellent or outstanding quality. The popcorn smells and comes out so fresh tasting and delicious to the point where I have to pop out a couple of batches just to satisfy my appetite.

I highly recommend these three kernel snack brands as they are far better than any store bought and movie theater pre-popped popcorn.

Singer Prince And Society’s Veneration

The radio station is still continuing to celebrate The Purple Man’s life throughout the weekend since his birthday was yesterday.

People keep reminding the public that Prince didn’t celebrate his birthday because he was a Jehovah’s Witness. One female dee jay even praised Prince for having had to receive a sort of enlightenment from “above” for the instance.

I was twelve years old when I stopped celebrating my birthday and I was born with a Caul/Veil. I became a vegetarian at that age also, and I knew what life was all about back then as I avoided partaking in the so called “worldly things” of society as I had no desire to, and I’m forty-four now and have so much peace.

Many of us have already experienced revelations, have known things, and have lived accordingly to our spiritual alignments far before mainstream society became aware or fully aware of particular things, before the media reported findings or developments of certain things, and before many famous people came to know and incorporate circumstances into their own lives, yet because these people are in the limelight they receive special credit when all along there were people like us at earlier stages within our lives who were the ones to make the same discoveries.

I am not at all knocking Prince, nevertheless, I also have to mention that if Prince was a woman he would not be receiving all of this favorable attention and celebration as he had once lived a scandalous lifestyle. As sexually promiscuous and provocative as Prince was during his early days on up to the point where it eventually haunted him he would never have gotten so far with approval.

Of course, he had haters and those who weren’t fans of his just like others because everyone has their own preferences and taste, however, if Prince was female he would have been called every derogatory name in the book, and considered unacceptable to be revered in such a positive way for his talents and achievements.

If a woman behaved in the manner in which Prince did the instance would not have literally taken anything from her. She’d still have all of her faculties whether mental or physical but with the ridiculous double standard all her value would have just been focused on how many times she used her vagina and with how many different men.

To me, there is no difference because I am realistic. It is not always what someone does it is why they do what they do that justifies or excuses the situation.

I don’t care what anyone does with their body as it is of no concern to me, though, a man, in my opinion, who has many sexual escapades and encounters is not someone that is projected as maintaining his worth in comparison to a woman who is suppose to lose her’s within my eyes.

I am one who never went along with society’s bullshit and what is deemed as acceptable or appropriate.

This society is in no position and does not have the knowledge or authority to define what it is to be a woman and what contributes to her value and worth as only an individual within her own is able to define her own true identity.– miss latoya

The Purple Man

I am not at all the starstruck type, never was, and I never will be. To me individuals who are famous are just that-well known people-who are just mere human beings with popular notoriety.

The Doves are not crying as they reign in peace-miss latoya

Fame doesn’t mean greatness as there are many with talent, character, and ability, who have never been widely recognized. There are those who get too much unnecessary media attention and I don’t really understand what they’re famous for.

However, it is a dinner tempted in individuals nurtured by the hungers distributed within the “belly of the beast”.

Many get famous not by worth or accomplishment but by deed or advantage.

Some who are blessed don’t even want the fame just the fulfillment and fortune within their own natural passion and drive through answering the callings urged from the bestowals within their everyday lives.

Today is singer Prince’s birthday and as he is deceased his life is again being celebrated as a tribute to him by many.

The radio is sharing memories of him and playing many of his hits. One of my favorite songs of Prince is “Raspberry Beret”.

In my opinion, Prince had a very unique style, was very talented, and made a lot of great music.

Obese Children

I come from a very large family and in the summer of 1983 some relatives from down in my grandmother’s (my mother’s mother) hometown state of Virginia came up to New York to visit us for a week.

It was one of my grandmother’s sisters, her niece, her niece’s husband, and their two sons.

The youngest son was three years of age and looked to be about one hundred pounds. The little boy was so heavy that he had to crawl backwards just to make it down from the staircase.

His mother had brought along for their vacation his packed items of unhealthy snacks which were four cans of corn chips, cheese balls, and some other junk food.

What happened to the old hearty home cooked nourishing meals the family use to constantly prepare, serve, and feed off to the rest of the family?

I guess my grandmother’s niece hadn’t picked up on the tradition of her own mother’s household from years back.

Nevertheless, why let your kid get fat off of a bunch of unhealthy junk food? Shouldn’t she have been feeding him meat and vegetables and feeding him junk snacks sparingly if it was necessary at all for his young age?

I was about eight years old at the time and the three year old boy who was my second cousin cried at the time because I had eaten some dinner that was made for everyone. The child was so spoiled from constantly being fed all kinds of shit by his mother that he wanted to eat up everything there in sight.

My mother nicknamed him butterball.

It wasn’t until I got older and was strolling through the aisle in the supermarket that I realized she was referring him to the likes of a Butterball Turkey.

The mother of this young child was one of my mother’s first cousins, and to me, this kind of behavior was a form of child neglect and abuse. This kid who actually appeared to be one hundred pounds had no business getting to be that size for three years of age.

He was too big and had gained too much weight from eating too much of the wrong things.

My mother had to send her relatives home sooner than the week that was planned for them to stay at our home. The boy was causing too many problems as he whined from walking down the street.

His weight made him tired, sore, and lazy just from keeping mildly active. When he couldn’t get out of the car that his parents drove his mother asked my mother to pick him up and bring him out of the vehicle.

His mother was also on the heavy side and was a bit too lazy herself to go and lift up her son.

We all had took an outing on the circle liner boat ride in Manhattan and he had a fit about getting his way, and so on.

So my mother sent them all on home packing early one 4am morning.

A Japanese man has died on a flight from Mexico City after ingesting 246 bags of cocaine.

The flight, bound for Japan’s Narita International Airport, had to make an emergency landing in Mexico’s Sonora state after he began to have seizures.

Authorities said the man, identified as Udo N, died of a cerebral oedema caused by a drug overdose.

The passenger transferred to the flight after starting his journey in the Colombian capital Bogotá.

According to a statement by Sonora’s attorney general, the bags – measuring 2.5cm long and 1cm wide – were found in his stomach and intestines during the autopsy.

The remaining 198 passengers aboard were able to continue their journey after the emergency landing in the city of Hermosillo.

Mexico’s federal authorities will take over the investigation.

For The Love Of Books

With all of the technology out there I’m someone who still appreciates the pleasure of holding a book in my hand.

As an avid reader of all sorts when it comes to my favorite interests in novels I prefer admiring the jacket of a paperback illustration, taking my time out to search through the aisles of a book store to read the back covers, and skim over the pages upon deciding the perfect choice of my particular selections.

Online reading is a great and convenient option and resource for all, however, I love the old fashion way too and hope hand-held books are here to stay during this vast computer age.

I’m not into ebook reading when it comes to novels. I like to lay comfortably in bed turning the pages of a book that will keep me up all night and with anticipation or one that I just can’t put down for long. I just love that shit!

I remember B. Dalton bookstore and Borders Books and how they’re nolonger in business to shop at though we still have a Barnes And Noble to walk into.

Snack Attack Tip

&Follow my blog with Bloglovin;

I love potato chips and cookies and cake once in a while yet I’ll only eat those within vegan and non gmo form.

The sweets have to be made on the healthy side and a homemade preparation is usually the best suitable route on desserts when it comes to optimal nutrition since one is inserting their own actual ingredients.

Nevertheless, everything within moderation and within personal tolerance is the way to go.

What I mostly enjoy snacking on above all else is fresh fruits, I love all kinds from green apples to grapes, watermelon, oranges, bananas, pineapples, honeydew melons and plenty more.

Fruit tastes delicious and is so good and beneficial to the body and I constantly incorporate these foods into my meal plan as well as a healthy snack tip to myself when I get hungry for a quick bite.

Dole

I loved Dole products, to me, they were one of the best brands out there on the market when it came to quality I had been buying their items for years.

I just bought a few containers of Dole Pina Colada juice drink the other day and I loved the taste of the beverage where there was actual strong real coconut flavor with no added sugar to the natural mix the fruits were a perfect blend.

I had tried a few other juice variety by Dole but this was my first time trying the Pina Colada. I haven’t drank Pina Colada in years as certain other brands tasted too watered down for me within the past.

Within additional categories of food I preferred to eat Dole bananas over any other type of brand, I also loved their raisins, fresh bags of salads and etc… I love their fresh pine apples that I use to buy constantly back in the early nineties.

Del Monte sold good fresh pineapples too.

I have purchased Dole and Del Monte products that were labeled Non GMO yet I have indeed read about how Dole and Del Monte were listed as one of the many companies that are geared toward anti GMO labeling and hiding GMO ingredients by intentionally misleading consumers with, of course, the “natural flavors” disguise .

In fact, companies that may surprise many of us are alleged to also be a part of the campaign in an effort not to lose money as a lot of us don’t really want any genetically modified foods within our diets.

It’s like we cannot trust nothing or too much of anything in what we eat from these companies these days even while they may falsely profess otherwise.

Hesitant it seems to just take a chance once in a while.

What Is Asexual/Asexuality?

I am proud to be Asexual.

I was contacted by two online magazines a few years ago (about three years ago) as they considered my article regarding my asexuality as “powerful” and beneficial to other readers and I allowed one of them to use and publish my story. It was very nice to get that sort of recognition.

In a short summary:

As an asexual person myself I do not ,however, represent the attitudes that every or all asexuals have. I would never generalize anyone because we are all very different and have our own unique personalities, preferences, and views.

Nevertheless, us asexuals all do have a common trait. We lack a sexual interest and attraction to other people, regardless of what the sex is of the other person. Asexuality is not a form of lesbianism, homosexuality or bisexuality. Asexual means “without” sexuality.

The Abortion Pill

Just as with any type of medications there are the pros and cons and possible side effects.

I’ve never been pregnant but I’m pretty sure any woman who ever considered the thought of an abortion would prefer to have a safe and legal procedure that was both non drastic and the most convenient for them.

Abortion is a controversial issue among many people, nevertheless, a woman has the right to choose what is best for her and to decide over her own body.

Unlike the emergency contraception or morning after pill that can prevent a pregnancy before it starts or from within about five days of indulging in unprotected sexual activity the abortion pill is different.

The emergency contraception pills will not injure or bring to an end a pregnancy that is already in motion and some are available without a prescription.

The abortion pill will terminate an early pregnancy for up to thirteen weeks at the most as the medications could result an incomplete finish due to the maturation of an embryo after that specific time period.

These particular abortion pills legally available through health centers aren’t that medically advanced yet therefore any later stage of pregnancy would call for a surgical abortion.

It may be a disappointment and unfortunate circumstance for those at further terms of gestation to have such a limited option of convenient measure to bring a means to an end.

With all the progress that is being made within research and study there may very well be a suitable or proper solution in the very near future.

Peanut, Nut Allergy, And Vegan Protein

I love peanuts I just ate a bag last night the Hampton Farms roasted in the shell brand that I’ve been eating for years. They’re a vegan, gluten-free, and non gmo product.

I also love cashews, pecans, and walnuts but I know what it’s like to love food that you can’t eat because it could result in an allergic reaction. I had to limit my intake of walnuts due to the fact of eating too many gave me a terrible back pain and nausea. I had even vomited. That happened back when I was a teenager I haven’t eaten any walnuts since.

There are those whose allergic reaction to specific foods would result in much worse of a consequence sometimes even serious enough to cause death and they have to take extra special care in watching what they eat.

For those allergic to peanuts there is a substitute all natural Wow Butter spread made from plant based ingredients. I’ve actually tried the product myself which contains absolutely no hydrogenated oils. It even has more protein than peanut butter. The only thing is I wish the consistency was a little thicker and stiffer because when I packed the butter on my toast and bread it would drip over, it’s a little bit on the runny side which makes it a little messy if not careful otherwise it is a real neat product.

I’ve listed below a notice from the company website:

Mind, Body, And Spirit

Food (any nutritious substance that people or animals eat or drink or that plants absorb in order to maintain life and growth).

Our mind and spirit also need to be fed just as well as our bodies.

Harmonic alignment within personal environment promotes physical comfort, mental stimulation, and a spiritual peace which creates balance.

It is not about what is so-called normal as much as it is about what is healthy when going about individual well-being and how a person obtains fulfillment.

If we don’t pick out and wear the correct fit within accordance to our own specific foot size in proportion to area to breathe we just make the walk unnecessarily hard to bear.

Just One Of Those Things

For the most part, and in general, if one treats their body right their body will in return do unto them the same wonderful favor, and depending on how well, one may often receive the most optimal of health benefits.

In certain instances, however, there are those that heavily drink alcohol, heavily smoke, and don’t eat nutritionally that live on to have long fair (mediocre, okay, or so-so) lives without any serious health conditions. Whereas those who make a significant effort to take care of themselves sometimes fall short when it comes to major health problems and living great yet shorter lives.

For some, the circumstances are determined by genetics, environment, injury, health insurance, or fate-just a form of good or bad luck it seems when it comes to the unexplainable.

Lifestyle

People that observed me, especially many within my work environment, have stated to me and others that “I eat very healthy”.

Even those who hadn’t been around me very long would mention and make reference to how I take care of myself.

It’s just the way I’ve always been at one time in my youth I had the desire to become a dietitian. My mother had even purchased a professional medical book on the subject to get me more informed and prepared if that was the field I decided to actually go into.

During my teenage years when my mother purchased my first Hamilton Beach juicer, not too long after, she bought me a book on juicing that included tons of detail and facts about fruits, vegetables, vitamins and how they utilize and how our constitutions benefit from them, and more.

My mother was always supportive and encouraging toward whatever I wanted to do.

Well-being is what’s in and it is delightful to point that out.

When I go to Whole Foods down at 59th Columbus Circle in Manhattan, New York that place is constantly packed with people spending a small fortune on a host of befitting items. And I have been shopping at Whole Foods from time to time for years now.

Yesterday, I had a great tasting meal of white rice and beans with a savory sauce.

I like to put my own creative ideas together.

Later today, before I head to work, I’m going to prepare and fix myself a few plates of thin spaghetti noodles dressed in onion, garlic, oregano, rosemary, basil, a little pepper, and olive oil.

Hearty Meals

Most of my family and people who I know are meat eaters and I’m fine with that. To each his or her own.

Everyone isn’t cut out to be vegan, vegetarian, or polo pescetarian (one able to eat chicken and seafood through a modified vegetarian diet yet strictly does not eat any form of red meat or pork).

My mother loves her burgers and pork chops!

We come from a family of farmers from down south Halifax, Virginia where my great-grandmother (my mother’s mother’s mother) and her husband and children would produce and sell their own original goods.

Born into a bloodline of hardworking southern cooks who genuinely dolled up and prepared healthy, nutritious, hearty meals that well-fed the entire household put a stamp on what we was accustomed to and till this day there is no exception.

As long as my mother eats healthy I’m happy for her and just make sure to pick out quality choices when I do the grocery shopping.

Just because an item is labelled vegan/vegetarian doesn’t at all mean that it is necessarily good or nutritious.

My mother does love some of my vegan and vegetarian selections though and agrees that their better than the other traditional products in certain areas. And a few have become her favorites!

Certified Cereal

I’m not into eating morning breakfast. I just eat when I get hungry yet I do like breakfast foods that I’d eat at any time of the day if or when I get a taste for it.

As I’m a very picky eater I just don’t eat any type of breakfast food that is on the market. I look out for certain things along with quality.

I tried two dry cereals by “One Degree” organic food brand a year or two ago. I bought a box of the sprouted brown rice crisps and the sprouted ancient maize flakes.

I ate the rice crisps in a bowl with soy milk and the flakes right out of the box as a snack.

I loved that the product wasn’t sugary.

I feel more comfortable and at ease eating from companies that make an effort to cater to those of us out there with special diets or meal plans. For me its been a way of life for a long time now and I’ll keep up with being choosy.

I haven’t bought anymore of the cereal since because I’m not a big cold cereal person but I would buy the product again if I get the taste for it.

I also picked up a pouch of the sprouted vanilla chia granola when it was on sale two for the price of one at my local Stop and Shop.

Love that One Degree specializes in transparent nutritional and beneficial ingredients by farmers and taking special care within the environment.

I also love that their labels have some of what I look out for such as the Non GMO project verified, the USDA organic seal, and even though I don’t have a problem with gluten they’re certified gluten-free and Bio Checked Non Glyphosate certified.

So there’s to happy healthy eating for those that like One Degree products or who’d like to try it out.

The company also offers veganic ancient and other variety breads, sprouted oats, organic sprouted flours, organic lentils, kernels and seeds.
